The short version

This site does not use advertising cookies or analytics/tracking cookies. The only thing we store in your browser is a small piece of local storage that remembers you've seen our cookie notice, so we don't show it to you again.

What's a cookie, and what's local storage?

A cookie is a small text file a website can ask your browser to store, often sent back to the server on every request. "Local storage" is similar but stays only on your device and isn't automatically sent to the server. We currently use local storage rather than a tracking cookie for the one thing we remember about you.

Analytics and advertising

We do not currently run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising cookies, or any other visitor-tracking technology on this site. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set, in line with best practice and any applicable law at the time.

Third-party embeds

This site does not currently embed third-party content such as maps, videos, or social widgets, and does not load fonts or scripts from third-party providers — pages are built with system fonts and local code only, so no data is sent to external services just by visiting the site.

Do I need to consent to anything?

Because the only storage we use is strictly necessary to run the site (remembering your cookie-notice choice), South African and most international rules don't require you to opt in before we set it. We still show a short notice for transparency. Where the contact form asks for your consent, that's a separate, specific consent to us processing your enquiry — see our Privacy Policy.

Managing or clearing storage

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings (usually under Privacy/History). Doing so will make the cookie notice reappear on your next visit.
